Please note!

You can also manually insert your Serial Numbers.
Rideet One serial can be found next to the QR code and is engraved in the bottom side of the product as well.
Rideet Key serial can be found next to the QR code and on a sticker placed on the Key plastic bag.

Go ahead with mechanical installation

Once the activation process is completed, the App will guide you in the Rideet One installation.
A more detailed explanation for mechanical installation is also available in the next section.
After mechanical installation you will need to get back to the app to calibrate your Rideet One and finalize the setup process.

Installation - Step by Step

Rideet One installation is simple, but we always suggest to commission the job to a professional workshop with trained personnel, especially if you are not experienced with electrical and mechanical operations on your motorcycle. In case you want to perform the installation by yourself, please read all installation tips and safety notes before starting the process.

In your Rideet One packaging you will find:

  • 1 x Rideet One
  • 1 x Rideet Key
  • 1 x T-tap (optional usage)
  • 2 x Zip ties

The Rideet One has to be installed inside your motorcycle by connecting it to a 12V power source through the integrated hook connectors (or though the included T-tap) and fixing it to any fixed part (such as the motorcycle frame).

Very important!

Install Rideet One only after you completed the Activation.
To properly install Rideet One you must activate it first through the Rideet App. Performing the Installation of a Rideet One not yet activated could lead to critical errors and impossibility of use.

Very important!

Rideet One installation requires 2G GSM network coverage.
Please make sure to be in an area with 2G GSM network coverage before starting to install Rideet One on your bike.

Step One

The first step is to turn on the Rideet Key.
To turn it on, press the button on the Key for 5 seconds.
You will hear a loud beep and the blue LED will turn on for about 3s.
Keep the Rideet Key in proximity of your bike.

Setup - Step One

Step Two

The second step consists of supplying the Rideet One. You can supply it in two alternative ways.
The two options are: directly from the battery (Option 1) or connecting to a +12V cable through the T-tap (Option 2).
The integrated hook connectors are specifically made to connect to the motorcycle battery, while the T-tap can be used to get the power from any +12V cable in your motorcycle (such as, in most cases, the ones under the saddle).

Setup - Step Two

Step Two - Option 1

Reach the motorcycle battery. Hook the Gound hook connector (black&red cable) to the negative pole of the battery or to a ground point (as a bolt on the frame). Then lightly unscrew the +12V bolt and insert the +12V hook connector (red cable) below the bolt. Be sure that the hook correctly hooked the battery, then screw the bolts back to its original position. They must strongly keep the hook connectors in place.

Always make sure that there is no conductive connection between the positive pole of the battery and its negative pole or another ground point such as the frame.

Step Two - Option 2 (Alternative)

Keep the T-tap at hand. Cut the hook connector from the +12V cable (red cable). Peel about 1 cm of cable and crimp the wire in the male spade terminal to secure it (1). Take the selected +12V cable in your motorcycle and put it in the connector (2), then use pliers to press with enough strengh to cut the insulation of the motorcycle electric cable and fix the connector (3). Plug the male spade terminal directly into the T-tap wire terminal (4). Find any conductive point in the frame (usually a bolt) and install the Ground hook on the black&red cable by tighting it between frame and bolt.

(2) Insert
(3) Fix
(4) Plug

Please note that using the T-tap exposes to the risk of water infiltration in the installation area around the T-tap, with the risk of high damage to the motorcycle electric system.
After the installation, protect the area using insulating tape and any other solution to prevent infiltration.

Step Three

Once the Rideet One is properly connected to a power source, you have to fix it to any fixed part nearby, as, for example, the motorcycle frame. You can fix the Rideet One by using two (2) plastic ties. Fixing is simplified by the plastic ties designated areas on the Rideet One itself.

Setup - Step Three

Install Rideet One with the bike in vertical position by using centerstand or external stand.
It is required to ensure a correct calibration and for your safety.

Before fixing the Rideet One to the motorcycle, take note of its Serial Number on the lower side.
You could need it in future operations.

When fixing the Rideet One, try to position it with the Rideet logo facing up.
While it is not strictly required, it will help network connection in low signal areas.

When fixing the Rideet One to the motorcycle, position it:

  • the most parallel as possible to the floor and
  • with an axes the most aligned as possible to the rear wheel of the bike.
Check the pictures below for a visual explanation.

In general, you must avoid any intermediate position that implies a rotation on the Z axes.

When the Rideet One is fixed and stable, mechanical installation is completed.
You can now return to the app to proceed with automatic calibration and finalize the installation process.

Video tutorial

To help you installing the Rideet One we prepared an intuitive video tutorial:

During calibration you'll just have to select the orientation you actually choose to fix Rideet One in the bike.
You have to swipe to select the orientation that most resemble the actual Rideet One orientation.
This is needed to calibrate Rideet One to correct measurement errors due to potential misalignment.

Follow the instructions

Choose Rideet One orientation

Choosing the real orientation between the options provided is important, because it directly affects performance data accuracy.

Please note!

You can perform calibration anytime in the app in Settings > Garage > Calibrate Rideet One.

Enjoy your Rideet One

Once the activation process is completed, you'll see a popup redirecting you to the User Guide. Alternatively, you can close it and go directly to the Dashboard.
